    Interesting, I was told by a tutor in one FE college that the average reading age for The Sun newspaper was nine years old. Maybe this is from the same urban myth cul-de-sac as the amount of words used.

    On the other hand, I remember walking into the library at Bristol University for the first time and realising that almost every book in there was composed of words made from the same 26 letters of the same alphabet.
